It all began with a simple question, one that truly matters: can we actually demonstrate the environmental impact of what we manufacture?
Today, the answer is documented in black and white. IFP Europe has obtained Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its machines, in accordance with the international ISO 14025 standard. This milestone transforms a core value—respect for the environment, a cornerstone of the company’s philosophy—into information that is verifiable, comparable and publicly available.
An Environmental Product Declaration represents one of the highest levels of environmental transparency available today: a voluntary, independently third-party-verified declaration based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). In other words, the environmental impacts associated with every stage of an IFP machine’s life cycle have been assessed, calculated and disclosed—from raw material extraction and manufacturing to transport, daily operation in the factory and end-of-life disposal.
When customers purchase an IFP machine, they also receive an objective assessment of the environmental impact associated with that investment over its operating life. This is particularly valuable for CNC turning companies, precision metal component manufacturers, and businesses in the automotive and metal stamping industries, where the efficiency of cleaning processes directly affects energy and water consumption, as well as emissions.
The vacuum cleaning technology using alcohol-based solvents developed by IFP Europe delivers benefits that can now be measured and communicated:
These figures already tell a compelling story. With the EPD, they also provide a foundation for transparent dialogue with customers, partners and stakeholders.
Obtaining an EPD required months of work, data collection, audits and collaboration across the entire supply chain. Every supplier contributed, and every department played its part. An achievement of this kind is only possible through collective effort. That is precisely where its added value lies: an EPD tells the story of an entire system, not just a product.
This recognition is part of a broader journey. In November 2025, IFP Europe became an Italian Benefit Corporation (Società Benefit), incorporating measurable environmental and social objectives into its corporate purpose.
This achievement complements the company’s ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification and its ongoing progress toward ISO 14001 environmental management system certification, originally expected by June 2026. These milestones are part of a wider evolution toward measurable sustainability across all its dimensions: governance, employees, communities, the environment and customers.
The market is demanding tangible environmental responsibility. IFP Europe responds with concrete action, choosing to back every statement with verifiable data. The journey toward sustainability is a long one.
We are moving forward—and now we have a roadmap to demonstrate our progress.
